It’s always teatime is a painting that invites us to reflect on the fact that often we don’t have the time to devote to ourselves or we postpone a pleasant moment because we think it isn’t enough pleasant therefore we wait for something that maybe will never happen.

In the painting, the protagonists of the scene have tea even if at the moment there are no pastries to accompany it. It seems the wrong time, yet even if not totally convinced (see White Rabbit’s doubtful gaze), they sip and take a break. It is always tea time, so it is an exhortation to take what life offers at the moment, and even if at the moment there are no “sweetnesses” life holds surprises (see the dessert that is kept in the pantry behind White Rabbit).

E sempre l’ora del tè è un dipinto che invita a riflettere sul fatto che spesso non si ha il tempo da dedicare a noi stessi oppure si rimanda un momento piacevole perché si pensa che non lo sia abbastanza e così si procrastina l’attesa per qualcosa che forse non accadrà mai.

Nel dipinto i protagonisti della scena prendono il tè anche se al momento sul tavolo non ci sono pasticcini ad accompagnarlo. Sembra il momento sbagliato eppure anche se non totalmente convinti (vedere lo sguardo dubbioso di Bianconiglio), sorseggiano e si prendono una pausa. È sempre l’ora del tè, quindi è un’esortazione a prendere quello che la vita offre al momento, e anche se al momento non ci sono “dolcezze” la vita riserva delle sorprese (vedere il dolce che è conservato nella dispensa alle spalle di Bianconiglio).
