Queens of Earth takes its cue from the iconography of playing cards, playing precisely with both graphic representation and words Queen of Heart / Queens of Earth.
The two women, having different skin colors and coming from two different worlds such as day and night (see backgrounds), of different origins (the terrestrial globe next to each woman representing the Americas or Africa, notoriously considered one the rich continent and the other the poor) and clearly separated by a barrier (social conventions and prejudice) that refers precisely to playing cards, go beyond any barrier and join by holding hands, inextricably intertwining the fingers.
This communion, in addition to being a cautious message of hope, reaffirms more than ever that humanity is one, regardless of the color of the skin, the wealth and place of origin.
The peculiarity of the painting is that the separation bar of the two figures bears the author’s signature in the two directions, and in the two colors black and white, so as to allow the hanging of the work in both directions and guarantee the vision of the painting from on each side .

Queens of Earth prende spunto dalla iconografia delle carte da gioco, giocando appunto sia con la raffigurazione che con le parole Queen of Heart / Queens of Earth.
Le due donne, aventi colore di pelle diversi e provenienti da due mondi diversi come il giorno e la notte (lo sfondo), di diversa provenienza (il globo terrestre di fianco ad ogni donna che rappresenta le Americhe o l’Africa, notoriamente uno considerato il continente ricco e l’altro il povero) e separate nettamente da una barriera (le convenzioni sociali e il pregiudizio) che si rifà appunto alle carte da gioco, travalicano qualunque barriera e si congiungono stringendosi la mano, intrecciando indissolubilmente le dita.
Questa comunione, oltre ad essere un cauto messaggio di speranza, ribadisce più che mai che l’umanità è una, indipendentemente dal colore della pelle, dal censo e dalla provenienza.
Particolarità del dipinto è che la barra di separazione delle due figure reca la firma dell’autrice nelle due direzioni, e nei due colori bianco e nero, così da permettere il capovolgimento dell’opera e garantire la visione del dipinto in ugual modo da ciascun lato.
